Independence Celebration in Om Ashram
On 15 August 2014, in celebration of 67 years of India's independence, a beautiful programme was held on the school premises of Om Ashram, Jadan, district Pali, Rajasthan.
On this day we are remembering the freedom struggle India had to go through and we wish that no one has to suffer as much as the people of India were suffering. Freedom is a natural right of everybody and on this day we wish the same freedom to everyone in the world.
The famous saying वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् - vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam (Mahopanishad 6.72) shows us that the whole world should be looked upon as one family. If we look upon the whole world as our family, then conflicts will naturally disappear and we will not only have freedom, but we will also give the same freedom to others.
The beauty of Bharat is that the rishis of old are giving us the immortal message that the ultimate freedom is freedom from the bondage of Samsara, this material world.
Jai Hind!
Overview of the programme in school.
Ceremonial march
Vande Mataram!
Mother, I salute thee!
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Dark fields waving Mother of might,
Mother free.
