Satsang in OM Ashram
People from all corners of the world are coming in preparation for the opening of OM Ashram envisioned by Vishwaguruji Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda Puriji Maharaj.
Satsang, a term derived from Sanskrit, is a spiritual gathering or meeting for the purpose of listening, reflecting on and assimilating spiritual teachings. The word itself can be broken down into sat, meaning truth, and sang, meaning company or association. Thus, satsang refers to being in the company of truth or in the presence of a teacher or group dedicated to seeking or sharing spiritual truth.
In many Eastern spiritual traditions, satsangs are considered important practices. They often involve listening to teachings, meditating, singing devotional songs, and engaging in discussions about spiritual topics. The primary aim is to inspire and uplift participants through shared spiritual experience, encouraging them to reflect on their own lives and spiritual journeys.
